Okay, so its the first day of the first match in my Head 2 Head Template challenge. I will be keeping you updated through the week with short tid bits as to the progress of my template and some screenshots from the work that I am doing.
Today was mostly spent slicing up the psd that was included with the template, I have already decided on some minor things to allow users to easily change the template. I will build it so that the upper content area will be able to resize larger for times where there is a lot of content, i have sliced a pic of the backgroun for both the title logo and the featured pic(halo guy at top left). This will let allow easy swapping of images in the future. I sliced the buttons so that they can be named anything and reused else where if needed. For now i am thinking about the lower contorls being set up to actually play a selected video, possibly in a pop up light box. I am also for now just using a slice of the bottom right demo box, but may decide later to make it dynamic also. Would be great to find a vertical text font to use there(seo purposes) instead of a graphic.
The Halo Template, I found this template while looking through some free templates on Free Website Templates.com. Seeing as Halo was one of my favorite games on the xBox, I decided to give it a shot. I will be posting my progress on the Head2head page for this match.
